I grew up in Wisconsin and spent my time fishing lakes and rivers for everything from musky to bluegill. My family has a cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where I enjoyed fishing and hunting while growing up. My family would take trips to Wyoming in the summer to fish for trout, and I knew that, eventually, I would make my way west. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in fisheries, and I spent my summers working in Idaho and Montana.
I got my first guiding job in Washington fishing for rainbows, cutthroats and chinook salmon. I also spent time living in Florida doing research on various sportfish, and I love to travel in search of new species. Since high school, I have been taking yearly trips to the Wind River range, and chasing alpine trout has become one of my greatest passions.
I also started doing artwork when I was in high school, and I have continued to work on it over the years. I have a few pieces for sale up in the shop, and I hope to continue improving and trying new things. I also love upland bird hunting, chasing grouse around Pinedale, and chasing turkeys and deer back in Michigan. I really just enjoy doing all things outdoors, and sharing my passion for fishing with others.
