Outlook
Fall fishing continues to be very good. Streamer fishing has been incredible at times, and we are still seeing some dry fly eats during the warmer parts of the day. Looks like we will have cooler weather heading into the weekend, so streamers and nymphs will be the name of the game. With spawning Kokanee in the rivers, hot head bugs and glo bugs are worth trying right now. I have heard reports of some Browns paired up in shallow riffles, so watch out for and try to avoid redds and actively spawning fish. If you are in the market for a new streamer stick, we have some really great rods on sale right now, so swing by the shop and check out the deals.

Recent Reports
Green River
Fishing on the Green has been mostly subsurface, but we have been catching really good numbers of fish. We are still finding the occasional Rainbow looking up in the riffles, but most of the Browns and larger fish are hitting streamers and nymphs. Most of the fish have moved out of the faster water and into the tailouts and deeper feeding lanes. Be sure to get those streamers and nymphs as deep as possible, as it is getting harder to get fish to come up off the bottom to eat.

Flies to try
Stubby Chubby, Peach Fuzz, Dungeon
New Fork River
The New Fork has been fishing really well. Streamers have often been to ticket lately, but this is also where we are seeing the most heads come up. Still seeing BWO and Trico hatches during the day, and you can still find a few fish sipping dries along slow banks and near the seams in eddies. Browns have been absolutely ravenous on streamers at times, and we have been finding both large fish and large numbers of fish willing to eat. Larger foam bugs have also been working in areas where fish are actively feeding on the surface. During the brightest part of the day, getting nymphs down deep has produced the best numbers.

Flies to try
Catnip, Hackle Stacker, Shuck-It Jig
Seedskadee
Fishing below Fontenelle Dam is really starting to heat up. While there is still some moss and grass in the water, it is mostly in the slower sections. The riffles and pocket water with more flow are mostly clear of vegetation and fishing well. Hot head nymphs and smaller-profile streamers have been producing well. Many of the fish we have found have been feeding along the softer edges of seams. As a reminder, the section from the dam to the cable just above Weeping Rock closes to fishing on October 1st.
