Outlook
Water was on the rise this past week, and we saw some runoff-like conditions. It looks as if this flush has peaked due to the colder days earlier in the week, but expect the water to be on the rise again soon with warmer days coming up this weekend and into next week. It is big bug season right now with the lower visibility and faster-moving water. Larger stones, worms, and streamers are going to be the most productive when the water is off color. Look for those fish to move to softer water along the banks and protected pockets as the flow increases. Here in the shop, we are amping up for summer. We have a great new selection of sun hoodies as well as everything else you need to get your wet-wading setup dialed in for the season. Swing in the shop and see what is new for this summer.

Recent Reports
Green River
Flows are up on the Green, but much of it is still fishing well. Clarity in the upper sections has remained good. Streamers and large nymphs have been working well, but there are still some BWOs coming off as well. Clarity has been reduced below Horse Creek, and fishing has been a bit slower in the lower sections. We have been finding fish most often in pocket water and other current breaks around structure.

Flies to try
Tung Terminator, Boogieman, Trina's Squirmy
New Fork River
The New Fork has been a little slower lately, but there are still some opportunities available. The sections above Pole Creek are still in good condition, but clarity decreases as you get lower on the river. The river below the East Fork has been pretty dirty, and fishing was slow down there while the water was on the rise. Fishing should pick up a bit now that conditions have stabilized a bit. Fish big bugs and look for fish to move to areas where they can sit out of the heavier current.

Flies to try
20 Incher, Depth Charge, Peanut Envy
Seedskadee
Fishing below Fontenelle has been good. The flows are low but consistent, and the fish have been pretty active. Sow bugs and BWOs have been the most productive, but caddis, worms, and midges have also produced fish. Crayfish activity has also increased down there, so drifting or stripping a crayfish pattern may be worth a shot too. Nymphing has been working best, but we have also had some good streamer and dry-fly fishing lately when the conditions are right.

Tailwater Sow, Two Bit Hooker, Sparkle Minnow
