Outlook
Conditions have certainly changed a bit over the past week. Water levels are considerably higher in many places than they were a week ago, and that trend is likely to continue as we begin the march towards peak runoff. Cooler overnight lows this weekend will hopefully help with water clarity particularly earlier in the day, but expect the upward trend in water level to continue for the foreseeable future. Now is the time to stock up on stones and worms. We have good stock at the shop right now, but those patterns are going to be in high demand very soon, so beat the rush.
Rivers
Never miss a fishing report.
Recent Reports
Green River
The flow on the Green has doubled in a week, and visibility is pretty low. Look for fish to move toward the banks and behind structure with little current. Fish big bugs and get them down deep. Darker colors are going to show up a bit better in the dirty water, and flashy material might be helpful for attracting fish, too. If we maintain these water levels and clarity improves, expect to find active fish and the potential for some really good days.

Flies to try
20 Incher, Worm Farm, Peanut Envy
New Fork River
The New Fork is fairing a bit better than the Green for the time being. Visibility on the lower river is not great, but the river is still in pretty good shape above Boulder and clear above Pole Creek. We have been seeing midges, caddis, BWOs and a few risers when there is some cloud cover, but nymphing with small attractor patterns or streamer fishing has been the most productive. If the cooler overnight lows improve clarity on the lower river, expect some good fishing with bigger bugs such as stones, worms, and big streamers.

Flies to try
FKAP, Rusty Trombone, Sparkle Worm
Seedskadee
Water levels are still steady below Fontenelle Dam, and the fishing continues to be good. We have seen some good midge and BWO hatches as well as some caddis. Fishing subsurface has still been the most productive, and aquatic insect activity has been good. Scuds, streamers, BWO nymphs, and caddis pupa have all been producing fish. Now is a great time to get down here and look for some shots at some really big fish.
