Outlook
Last weekend was a chilly one, but for those who toughed it out, there was some pretty good fishing to be had. The streamer bite was probably the best I've seen so far this year, and BWOs were out in abundance. Looks like some warmer days coming up this weekend and into next week. We got a small bump in flows in some places from all the precipitation last week and could see another little bump later this weekend or early next week from snowmelt. Smaller nymphs and streamers will be the best bet while the water is still low and clear. If we start to see some tint in the water, sizing up your presentations should work well. Stonefly nymph activity has been on the rise recently, so make sure you have a good selection of sizes with you when you go out. Here in the shop, we just did a huge restock on eyewear, so if you are in need of some low-light lenses for these cloudy spring days or if you need a new pair of shades for summer, swing by and check out the selection.
Rivers
Never miss a fishing report.
Recent Reports
Green River
The flow on the upper Green has dropped a bit from the cooler weather but is still fishing pretty well. Keep your bugs on the smaller side in the low clear water. Look for fish to be hanging in the deeper slow water while in the colder temperatures and move into more active seams and drops as the temperature warms up. Fish and insect activity should increase through the weekend as the water temperature warms up. Lower on the river saw a slight bump from the recent moisture. Streamers and larger nymphs have produced some nice fish.

Flies to try
Dungeon, Trina's Squirmy, Tung Terminator
New Fork River
The New Fork got a slight bump in flow and has continued to fish well. Keep an eye out for some risers with the increase in BWO activity. Smaller stonefly nymphs and mayfly nymphs have produced the most fish recently. Streamer fishing earlier in the day, especially with some cloud cover, has been productive too. Look for fish sitting where riffles drop into deeper buckets.

Flies to try
Blowtorch, Thrasher, Sculperino
Seedskadee
Fishing has remained pretty good below Fontenelle. There is a lot of BWO activity with some fish looking up in the softer water along deeper banks. Sow bugs and BWO nymphs have been productive. There has been some caddis activity at times as well. Streamer fishing has been good when there is cloud cover. Most fish have been found feeding along seams, but we have also picked up fish in eddies and even mid-river.
