Outlook
We are about one week from the official start of spring, but spring fishing has definitely started already. Fishing has started off really well, and with some warm days on the horizon, it is a great time to get out. Around Pinedale, our snowpack looks to be in pretty good shape. We are currently sitting at about 95% of median snowpack, which we are pretty grateful for after an extremely warm and dry winter. In the shop, we have new products coming in every week right now. We recently got the Contact Softshell and the Merino Quarter Zip from Duck Camp, which are perfect layering pieces for spring fishing. Our guides have been getting out on the water lately and are really itching for the season to get going. If you are interested in taking a trip this spring, give us a shout; we have lots of guides who would love to get out. If you are thinking of booking this summer, don't wait. Our peak season is filling up fast. We already have days in July where we have little or no availability. As a reminder, we are still doing fly tying nights on Thursdays from 6-8 PM for the rest of the month.

Recent Reports
Green River
Around Pinedale, much of the Green is still largely frozen. Above Daniel, many spots have a small strip of open water flowing in the middle of the river, but there is still a lot of shelf ice. Below Daniel, there is more open water, but there are still spots where the river is frozen over all the way across. I expect that the upcoming warm weather will open up a lot of water, but it will probably still be weeks before whole sections are open.

New Fork River
The New Fork is mostly open all the way to Olson Bridge with only a little shelf ice. I have not heard of anyone floating any section yet, but it looks to be open enough to float from at least the East Fork down. Fishing has been good on the New Fork, with anglers catching some really healthy-looking fish. Nymphing has been working best, but as it warms up, don't be afraid to get those streamers out—especially if we get some warm days with cloud cover. Mostly larger nymphs have been working well, but we have seen some BWOs flying around during the warmest part of the day. Don't overlook shelf ice along flat sections; I've bumped some really nice fish in these areas lately.

Seedskadee
Fishing has been good below Fontenelle. Sow bugs and midges are still my go-to patterns, but streamers, crayfish, and BWO nymphs are picking up fish too. Look for fish to be more active right off the drops in the riffles and along seams. Keep an eye out for and avoid spawning rainbows and cutthroat on flats and in shallow braids.
