Outlook
It's been a good week here in Pinedale. Bugs are starting to come off, water levels are nice and stable, and we are starting to feel a little bit of that summertime buzz. Subsurface flies are still producing the most fish, but don't leave those dries at home. There are going to be more and more opportunities for dry fly fishing in the near future. We are starting to see some Goldens and some Drakes around, but surface eats are still sporadic. We only have limited guide availability left for prime time, so if you are thinking about taking a trip, don't wait to book, because you might miss out on the days you want. The shop is now on our summer schedule and will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM daily through the month of August.
Rivers
Never miss a fishing report.
Recent Reports
Green River
Flows are still up a bit on the Green, but much of the river is in good shape. Clarity in the upper river is good. Stones, worms, and streamers are still the bugs of choice. Below Warren Bridge, the water is a bit off-color but still fishable. Down lower, a dry dropper is worth a shot during the warmer parts of the day. Below Daniel, the water is still dirtier, but conditions should continue to improve as the water levels come down.

Flies to try
Rubber Legs, San Juan Worm, Fools Gold
New Fork River
The New Fork is looking pretty good. Most of the tribs are flowing pretty clear, and the whole river is fishable. We have seen a few Salmon Flies as well as Drakes coming off in the afternoon, but still not a lot of feeding on the surface. Streamers have been most productive early. Stones and worms have been good throughout the day. Make sure you get your flies deep along the cut banks and in the deeper holes.

Flies to try
20 Incher, Worm Farm, Rusty Trombone
Seedskadee
Conditions remain good below Fontenelle. Flows have dropped a bit recently, and the fishing has been solid. Scuds, crayfish, and streamers have all been working well. We have also been getting some surface action on PMDs and caddis. Keep an eye out for and avoid spawning Cutthroat in the upper sections.
