NOTICE: STOP FISHING IF WATER TEMP EXCEEDS 68°F.
Water is low, and we have had some really warm afternoons lately, but there are still plenty of good things happening right now. We are finding plenty of fish willing to eat, and the dry fly fishing has remained solid. It looks like we might get some cooler weather and overcast conditions coming into the weekend, which could really help keep water temperatures down a bit. Even with the possibility of cooler temps, starting early and ending early is still the best practice for this time of year. In the shop, we have a great variety of packs, footwear, and nets that are perfect for wet wading this time of year. If you are looking for a change to your wet wading setup, swing by and let us show you what we have to offer.

Green River
The Green is fishing well throughout the system. Below Daniel, bigger foam bugs are working well. In the upper sections, there are still good numbers of Grey Drakes, Yellow Sallies, and caddis. Fish are starting to key on ants and beetles, too. Look for fish in deeper pocket water and slots in the middle of the river, as well as the deep cut banks. Adding a dropper is producing a lot of fish, especially in areas where fish are not actively feeding on the surface.

Flies to try
Split Flag, Bionic Ant, Spanish Quill Body
New Fork River
The New Fork is still fishing well, but water temperatures are definitely a concern. Look for fish feeding along foam lines and sitting in the deeper holes. Foam bugs in smaller sizes have been working well. On cool, cloudy mornings, fishing a streamer can move some really nice fish.

Seedskadee
The water level has remained consistent below Fontenelle Dam, but the weather is pretty hot down there right now. We have seen some stones, caddis, and tricos around, but subsurface is still the most productive. Small pheasant tails, scuds, and crayfish stand the best options. The moss has been building up in the lower sections making fishing more difficult in some areas. Remember to try to land fish as fast as possible so the fish are not overly stressed in these warm conditions.
