NOTICE: WATER TEMPS MAY BE HIGH IN THE AFTERNOON. STOP FISHING IF WATER TEMP EXCEEDS 68°F.
We have been fortunate this week that our conditions and fishing have remained consistent. Cool nights along with some afternoon cloud cover and even a few rain showers have really been helpful. Dry fly fishing has still been the primary technique, but keep yourself open to adding a dropper or even throwing a streamer if dry fly fishing is slow or the conditions are right. Early mornings when the air still has a chill and there is a bit of cloud cover, streamer fishing can be pretty productive. It looks like we are going to see some warmer days later this weekend and early next week, so get started early and keep a close eye on those water temperatures as the days heat up. Remember that we have an abundance of stillwater and high-alpine fishing options, and now is the perfect time to shake things up a bit and check out some of these great options.

Recent Reports
Green River
The Green is still fishing well, and we have the opportunity to get out on some of the mid and lower sections recently and find some nice fish. Some of the upper sections are getting a little boney, but still have the coldest water and are fishing well. The upper sections are great for walk and wade right now, especially in the sections that boats can't navigate. We are still seeing some drakes up higher as well as Yellow Sallies and caddis. Down lower, big foam has been doing well. Look for fish in the riffles and deep slots in the middle of the river.

Flies to try
Purple Bruce, Working Girl, Parachute Hare's Ear
New Fork River
The New Fork has been productive throughout the system, particularly during times when we have good cloud cover. Fishing has been best near areas where colder water from tributaries enters the system. Big foam has been a good option, and we are still seeing PMDs, Yellow Sallies, and caddis around too. Look for fish along the deep cut banks and in the deeper holes.

Flies to try
Circus Peanut, Missing Link Caddis, Parachute PMD
Seedskadee
Flows have remained stable below Fontenelle, and the fishing has been pretty good. Water temperatures have been a little warm but very consistent from the dam down to Slate Creek. The lower sections are still fishable, but moss is building up down lower. We have seen PMDs, Yellow Sallies, and Caddis hatches coming off. Subsurface flies are still really productive and producing some large fish.
