NOTICE: STOP FISHING IF WATER TEMP EXCEEDS 68°F
The cooler weather and recent cloud cover have made for some pretty nice fishing conditions. On top of that, the wade fishing opportunities are excellent right now, and the rivers have been pretty quiet, so those fish are not seeing too many flies. I apologize for not putting out a fishing report last week. I went fishing instead, and it was totally worth it. Our water levels are still low, but the fishing has been good. With the cool nights and the bit of cloud cover we have been having, water temperatures have been good and fish have been pretty active. Most of the summer hatches are winding down, but terrestrial fishing is still strong and we are seeing some good mayfly hatches in the mornings. It looks like we are in for some warm days this week, so get started early and keep an eye on those water temperatures during the heat of the day. Cool nights should help keep those water temps down, and it looks like things will start to cool off a bit later in the weekend. We have got some really good end-of-summer deals happening in the shop right now, so it's the perfect time to swing by and get outfitted for the changing seasons and the great fall fishing coming up.

Recent Reports
Green River
Fishing on the Green has been pretty good. We have been finding good numbers of fish as well as some big fish. The upper sections, especially, are in great condition for success while wading. Dry dropper setups have been producing the most fish, and we have been fishing a lot of ants and beetles, but there are still some caddis, PMDs, and tricos around, especially early and late in the day. Look for fish in the riffles and around structure with deep pockets.
CFS
Flies to try
Batman, Green River Flying Ant, Gulp Beetle
New Fork River
The New Fork is a bit of a sleeper pick right now. The river is very low, but it is still fishing well and has a good amount of bug activity happening. Terrestrials have been working well, and we have also seen good hatches of tricos and BWOs, as well as a few PMDs and Callibaetis. In cooler temperatures, dry dropper setups have been working the best. Focus on the deeper holes, but watch for pods of fish in the slower water, sipping mayflies when the temps start to warm up.
CFS
Flies to try
Sparkle Flag, Frenchie, Polywing Trico
Seedskadee
The flows were bumped up below Fontenelle Dam last week, so hopefully that flushed some of the moss out, which should help improve fishing conditions. Look for PMD, tricos, and BWO hatches early in the morning. Fishing subsurface is still the best option. Scuds and crayfish patterns are doing well. Streamer fishing should pick up as we start to transition into fall. Hot heads and worms will also be good options as we transition into fall and start to see Kokanee show up and begin to spawn.
CFS
Flies to try
Pill Popper, Micro Cray, Sprout Trico
