Outlook
Happy Spring, everyone. The rivers have started to open with the warmer weather we have had the last week, but it looks like another cooler wave is upon us, which should preserve our valley-wide snowpack for the time being. Access has gotten slightly better, and water temperatures are more favorable. Even if it cools back down, the fishing should only be getting better.

Recent Reports
Seedskadee
Even though the water is high now, we do not foresee it lasting too long. It seems to be routine flushing that the Bureau of Reclamation does at the start of every season in preparation for runoff. Drivable access has considerably improved in the last week. There is still a bit of hiking necessary in places, but several access points can be driven to. Small bugs and streamers are still the going trend, and the fishing is mostly quality over quantity. Rainbow spawn is still happening, so beware of active redds.
CFS
Flies to try
Hot Head Sow Bug, Manhattan Midge, Heisenberg
Bighorn River
The Bighorn just came off of a 6,000 CFS flush, so the fish are naturally hungry. The water is warming up, paving the way for the first hatches of the season to become more prevalent. We have started to see BWOs and midges hatching, and some fish are paying attention. Most of the fishing is fishing is still subsurface, however.
